ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Leslie H. Whitten was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1928. He was an investigative reporter in Washington D.C. (covering, among other things, the Watergate scandal), a poet, a translator of Baudelaire, and the author of nearly a dozen novels, including several in the horror genre: Progeny of the Adder (1965), Moon of the Wolf (1967), The Alchemist (1973), and The Fangs of Morning (1994). He died at age 89 in 2017.
